St. Annes Diocesan College {Chanel Dance}

KZN Midlands Photographer – Diocesan College ~ Gr. 10 Chanel Ball pre-drinks

Chiffon, satin, organza and lace. From soft pinks and pastels, blues and lavender to stunning red, teal, orange and emerald green. So it was with the beautiful young ladies of the St Annes 10th Grade.

I have to say, personally, I LOVE the long, elegant style that appears to be the preference in KZN Midlands schools. I’ve seen quite a few high school dance photos where the dresses barely cover bums. For me understated elegance and a chic sense of style beats sexy and sassy any day (at this stage).

The girls were all radiant and Helium balloons and photo booth props added a sense of fun to the evening. Last but least, the paparazzi (i say this with a smile). The proud Papas and pretty Mums who chaperoned their daughters to this particular dance.

I look forward to next year ladies <3<3<3

KZN Midlands Family Photography | Gowrie Farm

We were blessed with the most beautiful wintry afternoon light for this family photo shoot.   There was also no shortage of posing and monkey-business going on.  Loved the absolute spontaneity that characterised these two precious little sausages.  They really made me giggle.  Beautiful, Beautiful family.  And shooting on Gowrie Farm was also quite pleasant with the amazing scenery, autumn leaves lying everywhere and the beautiful soft duskiness of the afternoon.  And then it got cold and we had to go in for some wine.  So very pleasant.  Thanks guys.

It was an absolute privilege and a pleasure to photograph Melissa’s three children and their two cousins.  Little Claire May (love the second name cos its the same as my granny’s) certainly had a mind of her own but what a character.  And her little red shoes were the absolute berries.  I also loved the care and gentle way Benjamin treated his two sisters.  Going to be a formidable hand brake when those two get older.  Jennifer in the middle – what a precious little lady – who didn’t stop smiling – and what a beautiful smile she has.

And then the cuzzies.  Quite hard to get Mr Jason to smile but when he did – WOW!  it was worth it.  Both boys super cute with their little cousin.  So kind.  So gentle.  And so caring.  Thanks Melissa and Leeanne – for entrusting me with these precious photies.

Family Photography | Tanith & Grant | KZN Midlands

Von Mayer Family Photography

Tanith was one of  the first people I met when I arrived in the MIdlands.  She and her hubby are both teachers at  Michaelhouse.  I first had a cup of tea with Tanith when I went to photograph her doggy, ‘Lil Luke, for the SPCA Christmas Cards.  So it was fitting and well deserved, that Tan won the “Spread the Love” competition I ran in October.  What a special and lovely family this was to photograph.  The deep love and affection they share was beautiful to witness from behind the lens.  Tan & Grant – and the kidlets – thanks for spending some time with me.
