KZN Weddings |  Grant & Vera

It was second time around for both Grant and Vera.  They almost made it to the magistrates court but their nearest and dearest wouldn’t hear of it.

I’m so glad they didn’t! Instead close friends and family decided that they too wanted to share in their nuptials so  Granny Mouse Country House in Balgowan was booked.  A truly special  day and a testament to the path they have travelled to get there (which I gather was not the easiest).

Vera’s daughter, Jenna was a major part of the whole affair.   From getting dressed with her Mom, walking with her up the aisle, to the handing over of the rings.

Grant and Vera, the images speak volumes – you make each other laugh and enjoy each others company .  Two warm-hearted, kind and loving people, may your life together be beautiful, peaceful and loving going forward.  It was a privilege being a part of your day.

Thank you for choosing me as your photographer <3

Chiffon, satin, organza and lace. From soft pinks and pastels, blues and lavender to stunning red, teal, orange and emerald green. So it was with the beautiful young ladies of the St Annes 10th Grade.

I have to say, personally, I LOVE the long, elegant style that appears to be the preference in KZN Midlands schools. I’ve seen quite a few high school dance photos where the dresses barely cover bums. For me understated elegance and a chic sense of style beats sexy and sassy any day (at this stage).

The girls were all radiant and Helium balloons and photo booth props added a sense of fun to the evening. Last but least, the paparazzi (i say this with a smile). The proud Papas and pretty Mums who chaperoned their daughters to this particular dance.

I look forward to next year ladies <3<3<3

KZN Midlands Photography| Walker Family

I have to say – even tho’ I’ve said it before – I LOVE MY JOB!  One of the most amazing things about being a photographer in this glorious part of the world, is visiting the farms and the families who live there.  Each one so different but so beautiful in their own unique way.

So it was,  my privilege and my pleasure to capture the Walker Family on their farm somewhere in the hills of Mooi River.  Paula had been given a voucher for a family shoot at her baby shower.  The little bump that was,  is now the most precious sausage with cheeks that are so squishable you have to control yourself.  Big Sister Molly is a delicious little person totally unto herself and Paula and Ryan – two very special peeps we are lucky enough to have in this neck of our woods.
Here you go guys xxxx

KZN Midlands Weddings | Nadine & Kevin | Rosetta

KZN Midlands Weddings

Well, Nadine & Kevin’s nuptials were bound to be something special.  With Kevin & co. in full Scottish regalia and living in the very Midlands of KZN, words like Sporran, Glengarry and Balgowan, were all very familiar.

On a stunning summers day in the Midlands, the pair tied the knot on their farm between Mooi River and Rosetta.  Aside from being a guest at the wedding I was lucky enough to be there for the getting ready bits and waiting with the bride for her brother to come and escort her into her grooms arms.  For the ceremony and reception, they had another professional tog on hand which was great as I could relax and enjoy the occasion.  It was, in no uncertain terms, a fantastic one.  Kevin spoke from the heart.  Nadine was emotional for a bit while her hair was being done and then so so so happy.  Not so much a blushing bride as a bride enjoying her day to the max.  Food by the Rosetta Hotel was amazing and the decor by Ester Dobbins from Midlands Style Events was also exceptional and of course hair by the one and only Sarah from Knotts Salon.  Make-up was skilfully applied by Cindy Theunnison – 0834579518.   All in all, a very special day.  The pictures tell their own story.
