This is Olivia, my 10 year old niece. Proud Aunty doesn’t really sum it up. As a child photographer based in KZN, capturing my delicious niece on the Gold Coast in Oz was a fab experience and something I’d love to do more of.
She has such incredible passion for dance, in any form. She can’t stop moving, quite often to her own internal beat.
So when we went to Byron Bay for a day and spotted some amazing painted walls and graffiti, my shopping, noshing spree didn’t quite turn out the way I’d planned. Obviously it turned into an impromptu street dance photoshoot. Olivia is completely unfazed dancing in public in fact quite the opposite. So lucky Byron Baysiders – they got a glimpse of the Livvy Loo – doing what she loves. The rest of the shots, we did in the rainforest they call a garden (I got woken up at the crack of dawn for this as I mentioned that early morning light is best).

“Olivia has literally not stopped dancing since she started in Sydney at the age of 3. She’s done ballet, jazz, contemporary and lyrical. She says dancing makes her happy. It must do as if she’s awake, chances are she’s dancing. Whether its at dance school, in Dance Eisteddfods, in the playground at school or through her home. In July, she will be one of many children taking part in a developmental program to perform with professionals in the Wizard of Oz musical in Brisbane. Livvy can’t wait to follow her yellow brick road and see where it takes her in the world of the performing arts”
